Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, is celebrating 15 years since its first flight in November 2003. This historical moment was marked by the launch of its new Choose Well brand platform to redefine the future of flying.
The airline now operates a next-generation fleet of over 100 Boeing and Airbus aircraft, flying to 84 passenger and cargo destinations across 55 countries. The new brand platform, Choose Well, will be redefining its guest proposition to empower travellers to choose what they want and when they want.
This year, Etihad Airways have also retrofitted its 10 Airbus A380s with Economy Space seats, which feature an increased seat pitch of up to 36 inches. The redesigned aircraft increases the number of extra legroom in the Economy seats from 20 to 80 on this aircraft type.
Etihad Airways will introduce the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on its scheduled services to two new routes, one of which is from Abu Dhabi to Barcelona, effective 22 February 2019; another route is from Abu Dhabi to Kuala Lumpur, effective 20 December 2018.
The new two-class 787 Dreamliner service features Etihad Airways’ next-generation Business and Economy Class cabins, configured with 299 seats - 28 Business Studios and 271 Economy Smart Seats.
Etihad Airways’ Boeing 787-9 aircraft feature innovative, award-winning cabin designs and products, complemented by the airline’s acclaimed service and hospitality offering. Flights include Food and Beverage Managers in Business Class and a Flying Nanny in Economy Class to provide extra specialized care for families with young children.
