Macau, designated as the "City of Gastronomy" by UNESCO, is set to host a stellar feast that will delight the most discerning palates.
The "Timeless Gastronomy" event, organized by SJM Resorts, S.A. and Michelin Guide brings together four internationally acclaimed Michelin-starred chefs on January 20th at The Grand Pavilion, Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau.
In the realm of Macau's culinary excellence, no one can overlook Chef Julien Tongourian from "Robuchon au Dôme". Since 2009, this restaurant has been honored with three Michelin stars for an impressive 15 consecutive years. As a protégé of Mr. Joël Robuchon, Chef Tongourian has infused the restaurant's menu with his distinctive style and flair while upholding its legacy from previous masters.
This star-studded feast also features chefs like Hideaki Matsuo from "Kashiwaya Osaka Senriyama" in Japan, Heinz Beck from "La Pergola" in Italy, and Sven Wassmer from "Memories" in Switzerland. During the evening, chefs will present the essence of each country's culinary culture through their signature dishes. Sven Wassmer, acclaimed as one of the youngest Michelin three-star chef in history, captures the taste of the Swiss Alps in his creations, ensuring the lingering memory of Alpine flavors even after departing. As he expresses, "I want to evoke memories and create new ones."
Born in Germany, renowned Chef Heinz Beck transformed La Pergola into the only three-starred restaurant in Rome, crafting a series of seven dishes featuring black truffles imported from Norcia, known as "Nero Truffleicious."
As for Chef Hideaki Matsuo, a master of Japanese high-end cuisine "ryotei," his culinary world is akin to magic, surprising and delighting diners.
