Lovers Lake located on the mountainside of Dawulun Mountain at the western part of Keelung. It was the only highland lake in Keelung with dense wood, beautiful lake and refreshing scenery. In spring and summer, insects, butterflies and migrating birds often gather here. It is believed that if couples walk across the Lovers Bridge hand in hand, they are destined to marry.
The Gaomei Wetland at the outskirts of Taichung is a marshland scenic area by the sea, including tidal creeks, marshes, beaches, gravel, mud flats and other rich and complex wetland ecology. The place has diverse ecology and is one of the few places that have wild ducks.
