Having a been part of th Imperial China and the British Empire has some bearings on what Hong Kong has become today. Hong Kong is more than just a dazzling urban city; but one with a myriad of paradoxes where old meets new and customary traditions and conservative values remain embedded in the DNA of this epicentre for cultural fusion, innovation and experiences which is deeply influenced by the west.
